Sarah Loya

Sarah has extensive experience running complex transactions and has represented a diverse range of clients from private equity groups and venture capital funds to start-ups and high net worth individuals. She has represented clients in all aspects of mergers, acquisitions, venture capital financing, private placements, debt transactions and restructurings. In addition, Sarah also acts as outside general counsel for a number of her clients and in this role provides advice and guidance with respect to entity structure, corporate governance, board matters, and general legal and business advice. Sarah has significant experience representing clients in multiple industries including technology, manufacturing, insurance, healthcare, and business services.
Prior to joining Gaynor, Sarah practiced at DLA Piper and Nelson Mullins. She also served as the chief legal counsel of a health and wellness company, where she led the legal and compliance groups and managed a team of over 25 team members. As a result of Sarah’s in-house experience, she is uniquely able to deliver practical business-oriented advice that focuses on her clients’ specific needs and goals.
Sarah earned her JD from Georgetown University Law Center, graduating cum laude. She received her BA from the University of Virginia, BA Foreign Affairs and Psychology, graduating with distinction. She is based in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, two children, dog, cat and many fish. She enjoys book clubs, theatre, traveling and spending time with family.
